Ace actor-filmmaker Lalit Behl, known for starring in acclaimed films like ‘Titli’ directed by his son Kanu Behl and ‘Mukti Bhawan’, passed away due to to COVID-19 related illness. His son- director Kaun Behl announced on Friday.
The 71-year-old actor was diagnosed with COVID-19 last week and was under medical treatment and care at a hospital. “He passed away in the afternoon. He had a history of heart ailments and had Corona virus, so it got adverse. He had an infection in his lungs which got severe and that, with the previous medical history he had, complicated his health further,” Kanu told .
Actor Adil Hussain, who essayed the role of his son in ‘Mukti Bhawan’, was apparently drowned in sadness after listening the news. He took to Twitter to share his feelings that Lalit Behl acted as a father and he really feels a loss of his father again.
Actors Alankrita Srivastava and Syayani Gupta who acted alongside Lalit were saddened on knowing about his death. Other stars too shared their deep condolences while reminiscing the veteran actor.
