A commerce teacher sexually harassing around 500 students for years has come into the limelight in the capital of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The teacher was arrested by the police following the complaints.
The alumni association received complaints from more than 500 students from various batches. The alumni association has suspended the accused teacher after they complained to the school management about the issue.
The school management said it had seriously considered the allegations against the teacher and directed the internal committee to investigate. The students alleged in their complaint that the accused teacher was not only sexually harassing them but also threatening them. The school management made it clear that the investigation would be conducted impartially and in full transparency.
