Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has conducted a review meeting on setting up internet in every village and issuance of laptops to students as a part of the Ammaodi scheme.
Minister Balineni and AP Fiber Grid Chairman Gautam Reddy attended the meeting. CM Jagan said that all villages should have unlimited internet connections. He said a work-from-home facility should be made available in the villages.
CM Jagan clarified that laptops should be provided on January 9, 2022, to all the students under the Ammaodi scheme. He said that along with laptops, guarantee cards and warranty cards should be issued. So far, 14,671 km of the aerial cable has been laid in 3,642 villages in 307 zones, said Panchayati Raj Rural Development Commissioner M Girijashankar to CM.
