YS Sharmila, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy‘s sister, announced a few weeks ago that she plans on launching a political party in the Telangana state. She has also been doing the groundwork to establish her party in the state as well. A grand public gathering is being planned to take place in Khammam, on April 9th, where Sharmila is expected to announce her party’s name, and also their mandate.
Sharmila’s close aide and loyalist, Konda Raghava Reddy, recently even went to Khammam to finalise the venue of the event. Sharmila even has the police department’s permission to conduct the event, but there are bigger problems that are haunting her right now.
Coronavirus is once again rapidly spreading around the world, and even in India. Telugu states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have been reporting more and more cases every single day. The Prime Minister even recently held a meeting with the Chief Ministers of various states of the country.
A few areas surrounding Maharastra are currently under lockdown, and some areas have curfews. It is being speculated that other states will also soon get into lockdown if the cases do not come under control.
If the situation worsens, then the chances of Sharmila’s public gathering will be a huge question mark. It is now to be seen what will happen.
