Falaknuma Das, which raised all the curiosity before the release, was not able to live up to the expectations and ended up as a below average film at the box office.
Vishwak Sen is attempting to bring hype to his film, by creating unnecessary controversies all over. When most of the reviews declared Falaknuma Das as a dud, the hero used some cuss words against the reviewers and later tried to diver the issue, saying that his cuss words were aimed against those who spoiled his movie posters.
He is now conducting success meets in a few of the theaters in Nizam area, to convince the public, that his film is a hit. Not stopping there, Vishwak has now announced to make a sequel to Faluknuma Das and release it in 2020.
The first version was a remake of a Malayalam film ‘Angamalay Diaries’. While the proven story in Malayalam itself has ended up as a dud in Telugu, how far Vishwak comes up with a sequel and convince the audience with a fresh subject is a question.
