After the formation of Telangana, the TRS party has emerged as a super power in Telangana state. It made the big parties like TDP, YSRCP to skip the TS elections and thus remained as a solo option in the state, with no strong opposition.
Now the TRS supremo is also aiming at Congress and regarding this, 12 among 19 Congress MLAs recently joined in the ruling party and thus the national party has lost the position of the main opposition party in the state. The Congress Legislative Party has officially got merged into TRS recently.
With seven MLAs in hand, MIM is now identified as the second largest party and will thus be the opposition party to TRS in Telangana. As MIM is anyway identified to be a friendly partner of the ruling party in the politics, nothing much can be expected from it.
But what KCR is ignoring is the rise of BJP in Telangana. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the national party was able to grab four MP seats, out of which one seat was from Nizamabad constituency where, KCR’s daughter Kavitha lost to BJP candidate. This clearly implies that the national party is witnessing a slow rise in Telangana.
While Congress was anticipated to gain good chances, as it can claim the credit of giving Telangana, now it got merged into the TRS and thus paved a clear way for BJP to grow in the state. One strong leader from it, can surely take the national party on a good ride in Telangana.
