Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced to appoint five deputy chief ministers in his cabinet. Shockingly, he also said that 90% of the ministers who would be swearing in on Saturday would be sacked after two and a half years.
Announcing the same, Jagan said that there is going to be a cabinet reshuffle after 2.5 years, so that all the deserving MLAs will get a chance to serve the people, as ministers in his cabinet.
Jagan is also aiming to get rid of the public perception that his cabinet will be dominated by Reddy community. For this, he is planning to induct candidates from all the communities.
While the latest decision sounds good, as it would justify all the deserving leaders who won in the recent elections, on the other hand, this may not go well with the ministers as no leader will be willing to leave the cabinet after 2.5 years. So rather than concentrating on welfare programs, every leader may only be keen about making as much money as possible during their short tenure.
However, as Jagan has declared that he is strictly going to be against corruption, it should be seen how he manages to control the ministers in his cabinet who attempt to commit any such corruption.
