YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has finally completed his swearing-in ceremony and he is now officially the new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
With 151 assembly seats and 22 Lok Sabha seats in hand, YSRCP has officially formed the new government in AP today. Telugu states governor Narasimhan has congratulated Jagan, right after Jagan sworn-in as the new CM, and left the venue.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR and DMK Chief MK Stalin attended the venue and gave their best wishes to the new CM. KCR said that the proper utilization of Godavari waters is the need of the hour.
Jagan sops to the people
After swearing-in as CM, Jagan first signed on pensions to the old people. He said that he would offer Rs. 2250 as pension from this June and increase by Rs. 250 every year and offer up to Rs. 3000.
He also offered to provide 4 lakh jobs from August 15th and also promised to establish village secretariats in villages and thus provide government jobs to the local youth over there.
“Looting people in the name of electricity will be stopped and per unit rate will be brought down to a new low. Will go for a global tendering and bring solar power, wind power at dead cheap prices,” Jagan said.
He also promised to provide corruption-free governance in the state and said that he would establish a call center, where people can directly complain to the CM office, about the corruption they came across in the state.
To eliminate bribes, Jagan said that all the government services would directly be offered to the public, through the door delivery, eliminating the middle men. He said that village volunteers will be employed to deliver the government services to the public directly.
Jagan promised to treat everyone equally with least concern towards the discriminations like caste, creed, religion, race, gender etc.

He also criticized the TV channels TV5, ABN Andhrajyothy, ETV by naming them and said that he would take strict action against the channels, if they would continue to report false information to the people.
He promised to prove as the best Chief Minister of the state, within 6 months to 1 year.
Jagan’s first speech as CM was found impressive by many. He dealt several issues, which were unexpected and thus hinted that he is going to a pro-people CM.
