The designs for the new Secretariat building have been examined by the Chief Minister of Telangana k Chandrasekhar and came up with a final design. KCR led government earlier gave directives to the construction team so as to ensure that all facilities were made suitable for everyone to work in the Secretariat.
The Chief Minister conducted the review at Pragati Bhavan on Wednesday for proposing the final new secretariat construction plan. Ministers Vemula Prashant Reddy, Puvada Ajay Kumar, Chief Government Advisor Rajiv Sharma, General Secretary Somesh Kumar, Principal Secretary Narsing Rao, CMO Officers Smita Sabharwal, R&B ENCs Ganapathy Reddy, Officers Satish, Madhusudan Reddy, Vastu Advisor Suddala Sudhakar Teja and Oscar-Ponni Architect experts attended among others.
Speaking on the occasion, CM KCR said that the new secretariat should also have all the necessary facilities for Ministers, Chief Secretary to Government, VIP’s and other dignitaries. The CM suggested that on each floor there should be dedicated space for dining hall for dining, a meeting hall, a waiting hall for visitors and an extra space for parking facility for all vehicles. After making the required changes, a final design will be revealed soon by the government.
Reportedly, KCR has also discussed about tenders for construction and suggested for the removal of debris of old secretariat building.
