It is known that noted Tamil filmmaker, Vetrimaaran is making a web series under the production of Mani Ratnam, and OTT giant, Netflix. Pre-production is underway and shoot will resume in the next two months.
The latest update is that Vetrimaaran has roped in Sai Pallavi for a crucial role in the web series. He will be directing a single episode of this web series which has been titled ‘Navarasalu’.
Mani Ratnam designed this web series and the episode which Vetrimaaran will direct is based on a honor killing. Mani Ratnam opines this particular episode needs a realistic approach and he bough Vetrimaaran on-board.
Sai Pallavi and Prakash Raj will be seen as father and daughter in this particular episode of ‘Navarasalu’. The web series will be dubbed and released in Telugu, Tamil, Malyalam, and Kannada. More details are awaited.
Sai Pallavi will next be seen in a prominent role in ‘Virata Parvam’ which will release next year. She is also in talks with many filmmakers and might be signing a project or two soon.
