With the resignation of Mopidevi and Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, there were two empty seats to fill in the CM’s cabinet. Mopidevi and Pilli were elected as members of the Rajya Sabha, because of which they had to resign as MLCs.
CM Jagan has now expanded his cabinet, and filled their positions with new people. Today, MLA Dharmana Krishna Das took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Previously, this post was occupied by Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose.
Dharmana has now been given the responsibility of revenue, stamps and registration ministry in addition. Earlier, Dharmana served as the minister of Roads and Buildings.
Speaking on the occasion, Dharmana said that he wouldn’t disappoint CM Jagan, as he has bestowed him with great responsibility. Now that he has been given the responsibility of registration ministry as well, Dharmana said that there will be changes in the way the ministry will operate from now, and that there won’t be any registration disputes from now on in the state.
After the resignation of Pilli, Jagan’s cabinet came down to four members. With the appointment of Dharmana, it has once again been restored to its original number of 5.
