Bihar administration has reached a regular Covid-19 testing capacity of 10,000 samples earlier. Of late Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given directives to double the testing capacity.
“Our goal should be to increase it to 20,000 tests daily,” Nitish Kumar said during a high level meeting held along with the Chief Secretary and Health Department officials to keep a tab of of Bihar’s preparedness to battle Covid-19.
However on the flip side, the Bihari netizens have shown outrage about the current situation. They started complaining about increasing cases, lesser number of testing labs and beds.
One user posted about a death of a man near a medical shop and put a hashtag #Coronakumar by taking a dig at CM Nitish Kumar’s incapability in handling the pandemic. While other user posted using the same hashtag and informed about the death of a 3 year old kid in his mother’s arms due to covid-19 as she was literally helpless for not getting admission in the hospitals.
One more use shared a video about the unfair practice at Hotel Patliputra and trolled CM with #Coronakumar hashtag. The hotel was selected for covid testing Center, but the officers have been taking not more than 50 samples for testing, despite demanding.
