Samantha’s latest movie in Telugu is Janu, which got bad reviews. The remake of the Tamil super hit movie 96 was released amidst good expectations and was not well received at the box office.
After a brief gap she opted for a good story. According to the latest buzz, she is looking to be part of a Kannada movie in Telugu remake. She has recently seen a Kannada movie called Diya. She was quite fascinated and wanted to feature in Telugu remake.
Samantha has previously acted in remake films such as ‘U Turn’, ‘O Baby’ and the latest ‘Jaanu’. A big producer seems to have been gearing up to own the Diya’ film remake rights in massive budget in Kannada, in which he wanted to rope in Samantha. It is also not clear about who would be directing this Kannada remake and the details are yet to be revealed.
On the other hand, Samantha’s senior director Singheetham Srinivasarao is in the process of making a biopic based on the life of a famous Karnataka singer and women’s freedom fighter, Bangalore. It is reported that Samantha will be playing the role of Bangalore Nagarathnamma.
Another rumour is that Samantha will be acting in her next film which is going to be helmed by Lady Director Nandini Reddy. Last year, ‘O Baby’ came up with a good record in both of their combination.
Insider sources reveal that Naga Chaitanya plays a cameo role in Samantha’s upcoming film in a similar fashion like in ‘O Baby’. In the past, most of the films that Samantha and Chaitu played together have been good hits.
