As the number of cases that are positive for Coronavirus are increasing day by day, there is a huge shortage of beds in the hospitals for the isolation care.
This shortage problem is universal and all the countries are working on increasing their bed capacity in hospitals. The same applies to India as well and Telangana seems to be a bit proactive in this regard.
Though the Gandhi Hospital was declared as full fledged Coronavirus hospital two days ago, according to the estimates of how many people can contact with the virus in the coming days is an alarming statistic.
So, alongwith Gandhi hospital, Gachibowli Sports Complex was announced as Coronavirus isolation special ward.
This complex will be having 1,500 beds, Water Tanks that can accommodate 3,000 people, a sump is constructed that can capacitate 10 lakh litres, and also temporary bathrooms.
Health Minister of State Etela Rajender has said that there will be all kinds of facilities made available for the patients, doctors and staff in this hospital.
