Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film ‘Godfather’, which is the Telugu remake of the Malayalam movie ‘Lucifer’, has been in the news for all the right reasons. The Mohan Raja directorial has caught the attention of people not only from Tollywood but also from Bollywood, as Salman Khan has been roped in to play a key role.
While there has been a lot of positive buzz building around Godfather, a few entertainment websites appear to be spreading some negativity on the movie.
It is an open fact that Godfather is the official remake of Lucifer, which means the makers of Chiru starrer brought the rights of the movie.
It is natural that the stories of the remakes are altered as per the nativity and makers even add some commercial elements to entertain the audience.
However, a few websites are spitting venom on Chiranjeevi by saying that he is diluting the character, which played by Mohanlal in the original. But, it is basic to understand that remakes are not photocopies of the original movies and they can be changed according to the need of the actor and interests of the audience. Well, the same is happening in the case of Godfather.
Pawan Kalyan starrer Bheemla Nayak is one of the best examples to say that remakes can be made more entertaining than the original. We can expect that Godfather will be a bigger hit that the original given the craze of two superstars Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan.
