Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has appointed five new people as members of the TTD board, and this has given rise to several speculations about the relationship that Jagan shares with Telangana CM KCR, and his son KTR. It is being said that the new members of the TTD board indicate that Jagan is in an understanding with KCR and KTR, as the board is made up of people recommended by KCR.
Everyone was of the opinion that Jagan would ignore KCR’s recommendations but in a rather shocking step, Jagan actually implemented these recommendations. Jagan appointed MSN Laboratories vice president Jeevan Reddy as a member of the TTD Board, Jeevan Reddy, the brother of TRS Mahabubnagar MP Manne Srinivas Reddy, Jupally Rameshwar Rao of My Home Group, B Parthasaradhi Reddy of Hetero Group and TRS leader from Siddipet Mooramsetti Ramulu as members in the new TTD Board. TRS Koratla MLA Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar Rao was also appointed to TTD Board. It is also being said that Jagan will appoint one more woman recommended by KTR as a ‘special invitee’ on the TTD Board. All of these members are close to KCR’s family.
Given the disputes over Krishna river water, it is being said that Jagan is trying to come to an understanding with KCR and KTR, which is why he is said to have taken their recommendations.
