Former Karnataka CM H.D. Kumaraswamy, who tested positive for coronavirus, was shocked after the Manipal Hospital didn’t provide him with an admission citing a shortage of beds.
On Saturday morning, the EX-CM tested positive and intended to isolate himself at his farmhouse. But the doctors suggested that he should join the hospital immediately.
But Kumaraswamy failed to get admitted to the Manipal hospital even after the health minister intervention. Later, he was admitted to Sagar Hospital on Bannerghatta Road.
By looking at this incident, one can understand the shortage of beds for coronavirus patients that continue to plague Bengaluru.
For the last few days, Mr Kumaraswamy had been campaigning for the party candidate in Basavakalyan. He took the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on March 23.
