This friday another four new movies hit theaters yesterday. These included Telugu films like “Aa Okkati Adakku,” “Sabari,” and “Prasanna Vadanam,” along with the Telugu-dubbed version of the Tamil movie “Aaranmanai 4,” renamed “Baak.”
Unfortunately, none of these releases performed well at the box office. Despite Allari Naresh’s popularity and the nostalgic appeal of “Aa Okkati Adakku,” the films failed to draw audiences due to weak content and insufficient promotion.
Factors like high temperatures, ongoing IPL matches, and election excitement also contributed to the lackluster box office numbers. Consequently, many filmmakers opted to postpone the release of their movies in May, anticipating similar challenges. Overall, it was a disappointing turnout for the new releases.
