Sharmila is going to make the announcement about her party on April 9, 2021, in the Khammam district on Friday. Recently, the TDP was merged into the TRSLP. The merging of TDP is just two days earlier before Sharmila’s party announcement. The two TDP MLAs from the Khammam district joined TRS.
The TDP, which has been completely weakened in Telangana, is doing better in Khammam. It has become somewhat questionable why the two MLAs have joined TRS. With this, it seems like that the TDP fans who did not want to support the TRS are now expecting to vote for YS Sharmila and thus the anti-government votes will split. In Sagar too, TRS leaders say they think TDP fans’ votes will support them.
