Members of the TDP, including TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, have openly announced that they are boycotting the upcoming ZPTC and MPTC elections as they think that there are going to be a lot of discrepancies in the elections and that it would be one-sided.
However, things look quite a bit different in reality, with sources revealing that the TDP members have been asked to go ahead and participate in the elections if they feel they can win. Many have already nominated their names for the elections, and some have even withdrawn their names.
The YSRCP members are now suspecting that the TDP is proceeding ahead with a sound plan. Many are said to be of the belief that the TDP is playing an interesting game by openly saying that they are boycotting the elections when several members of the TDP are in fact very much actively participating in them.
Wherever TDP members are participating in the elections, they are campaigning vigorously. With the YSRCP left in doubt, as to where and whether the TDP will participate in the elections or not, the YSRCP would not be in a position to allot enough funds for elections.
With the YSRCP not being in a position to potentially pay people for their votes, people may or may not want to vote for them. This gives the TDP an edge, and even the slightest chance to win. If the TDP wins, then they could argue that the people are against the YSRCP, and if they don’t, then they could say that they boycotted the elections in the first place.
