TRS leader and former YS MPP Venkataiah Goud has been charged with bribery. The incident took place in Nagarkurnool district. ACB officials raided former Mandal Parishad vice-president Venkataya Goud for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from a man named Ramulu Nayak. When Ramulu Nayak approached the Tahsildar for a No Objection Certificate, he said that he should give Rs.5 lakh to Venkataiah Gowda. ACB officials raided Venkataiah Goud’s house in order to seize the money.
On learning that the officers had arrived, Venkataiah Goud set the bribe money on fire. As soon as the officers entered the house, they extinguished the fire. 70 percent of the currency was already burnt. ACB officials arrested Tahsildar along with Venkataiah Gowda after seizing the money. It is learned that the Veldanda Tahsildar’s office and the residence of Tahsildar in LB Nagar, Hyderabad are currently being raided.
