Amma Vodi scheme has emerged as a blockbuster among all the schemes initiated by the YSRCP government. It would be a tough task for the officials to fill the government schools with the students till last year. But the things have rapidly changed this year.
For instance, in Krishna district alone, a total of 1,51,719 new students took admissions in the government schools for this academic year and out of them, 42,893 picked English medium schools. A total of 30,327 students for their admission in Telugu medium government schools.

These figures clearly indicate the impact of ‘Amma Vodi’ program, where the government has promised to give Rs. 15000 to every mother who sends her child to the school, be it government or private. The scheme has now been extended to the intermediate colleges too, so that the parents will not stop their kids at the school level itself.
Every year, the government officials run “Badi Bata” program, to attract students to government schools. But what “Badi Bata” couldn’t do over the years, Amma Vodi was able to do it right after the scheme announcement. So this is indeed a great achievement of Jagan and can thus be called as a blockbuster.
