14 months and 400 deaths – Where is your Disha act? CBN fires on Jagan

The intensity of the atrocities in Andhra Pradesh has been increased in the past few months. This is not about the alleged atrocities of the Ruling party but the non-social and inhumane acts committed by some individuals in our society who behave no less than animals in the jungle.

Recently, a minor girl was abducted, gang-raped for 4 days, and was left in front of the police state in Rajahmundry. There is nothing gross than this act in a state which has introduced the ‘Disha Act’ and fast track courts to curb these kinds of issues.

Now, the leader of the opposition, former AP CM, Chandrababu alleged that more rapes had increased in the state after the haste of the Disha Act. Chandrababu was incensed at the Jagan’s government for not realizing that there was no freedom for girls in the AP as 400 rapes had taken place in 14 months.

The TDP chief said that the government has no intention to pass the ’Disha law’ effectively and it was just neglected after using this act for campaigning purposes. Naidu further Demanded that at least the Nirbhaya Act be strictly enforced.

If we look at the happenings in the past few months – Rape of a Dalit girl rape in Yerpedu zone of Chittoor district, another girl in Venkatravupalle, Nellore district. The same kind of incident happened in Tadipatri, Anantapur district, and to a Muslim girl in Guntur. Now another Dalit minor girl in Rajahmundry. Most recently a women MPDVO in Nellore was molested, Dalit woman doctor molested in Chittoor, a masked woman was employee physically assaulted in the government office

In addition to these, 14 gang rapes in 14 months. Now, after looking at these reports every one started to question if there are any laws and government in the state to watch and prevent all these atrocities by taking strict action and implementing some fearsome laws effectively?
