A Micro organism that made its way into human life in December last years creating enough chaos in the most habitable planet of this solar system. It is none other than COVID-19 which is already a reason for millions of deaths is now transformed itself into 10 different forms to increase the worries of mankind.
The coronavirus has mutated into 10 different types and now one of them -the A2a- has nearly replaced all other types of the virus across the world, says a study conducted at the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics in India.
This A2a coronavirus is more capable of entering the lung cells and cause fatal damage to the respiratory system and also the rate of transmission and its capability is too high when compared to the non-mutated genomic virus.
A2a virus is the dominant type among all the SARS-COV-2 viruses and it has been deemed as the one that is causing more deaths in Gujarat when compared to any other state in the subcontinent. The research team has used RNA sequences of over 3,600 coronaviruses collected from 55 countries from December 2019 to April 6, 2020, for their study.
Through rigorous studies and wide research techniques that found out that a complement of the spike protein of the coronavirus in A2a type allows the virus to bind itself more easily to the surface of cells in the lungs which could cause more damage and complications in the people shuddering with COPD, Asthma, Lung Cancer and other Carcinoma.
