The YSRCP government recently released two GOs regarding the salary hike that the state government employees have asked of the government. The government has greatly cut down the salaries of the employees, so much so that this is the first time that the government employees are getting paid much lesser than the IR.
The state government employees have even decided to go on an indefinite strike from February 7th, and have even refused to meet with the government on the matter. In the meantime, the AP government is launching a pamphlet campaign on its own, with the government’s volunteers going from door to door, telling the people how the state government employees’ salaries have actually increased, painting the employees in a bad light.
This was the same strategy that the YSRCP government used when it came to painting the Amaravati farmers, and the film industry in a bad light. The government is also using social media for this matter on a grand scale. On the whole, the YSRCP government seems to be on a mission to defame its own employees in the state, and it is to be seen how the government will be impacted as a result.
