The hopes on the COVID vaccine have gone high for the common people with the recent developments and even the governments are hinting about their availability in a short period of time. While most of the middle-class and poor people rested all their hopes on the vaccine, some selfish Rich people are making things uglier for their fellow citizens.
It is known that everyone is eager and looking forward to COVID vaccine. However, the fact remains that even if the vaccine were made and marketed, it would not be available to the general public. It has recently studied that nine out of every ten people in the world have to wait at least another year to be vaccinated.
About the availability of COVID vaccine to the world’s population, People’s Vaccine Alliance surveyed its chances and according to the survey, Pfizer’s, Astrazeneca companies want to make the vaccine available to developing countries first. But in practice it turned out that it was not possible.
This is because many large and developed countries have already placed orders to buy the vaccine five times more than their needs. That’s an estimated 53 percent of vaccine reserves in 14 percent of the population in well-developed countries.
Orders received are numerous times higher than the number of vaccines sold compared to the total population of England. Canada also ordered five times more vaccines than its population needed. What will be the situation in the rest of the world if rich countries are willing to buy a few times more vaccines than they need because of fear of death and selfishness?
