Will AP govt officials follow High court orders and meet SEC?

The state High court has given the green signal for the conduct of the Local Bodies Elections in AP.

However, the AP government has approached the Supreme Court challenging this. Meanwhile, state election commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar met employees at the state election commission office.

Nimmagadda will finalize dates for arranging a meeting with government officials. It is learned that the SEC will hold a meeting with CS, DGP, various departmental superiors, collectors, and SPs within 2 days.

Nimmagadda will write a letter to Adityanath Das, the Chief Secretary of the AP regarding this.

It remains to be seen whether the officials will attend the SEC meeting or not. It is speculated that currently, all these officials are following Jagan’s orders.

If they fail to attend the SEC meeting then contempt of court charges will be imposed on these officials.
