Why working unions are not raising their voice against Jagan?

YS Jagan led AP government is in a confused state about the payment of withheld salaries to the employees. The High Court ordered the government to pay the salaries with 12 percent interest within two months. Two months passed but the government did not pay any amount yet.

However, Jagan understood that they could not remain silent for such a long time. Hence, the AP government chief adviser, Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy who called the unions told them the government version. Anyway, the union leaders were convinced that there is a social responsibility upon them to support the government. At the invitation of the CMO Sajjala held discussions with the job unions and it seems everything went well. The state’s financial situation was explained to the union leaders.

Sajjala promised to pay the 15-day salary due to the employees in May and June in the next two months. He also said that the DA will also be taken into consideration. Sajjala was appeased and sent to take into account the financial situation. CMO officials sent working unions back by saying that they will make a statement on salary arrears on DA from the government side soon.

Now, the word is out that some working unions are dissatisfied with this attitude from the AP government. As the High Court ordered the government to pay the withheld amount, everyone is hoping for the payments in this festive season. It is being said that they were deeply disappointed.

On the other hand, employees are not in a situation to question the government for immediate payment. No one is even likely to go to court. If anyone follows the law, their job is not guaranteed. Therefore, except to listen to what Sajjala says, they have no other choice. However, the ruling party people cry that all these rumors were spread by the opposition being intolerant with the way Sajjala handled this crucial situation.
