Why not just bust out Amaravati’s true expenditure?

A lot of speculation has been going on about the amount that has been spent on the development of Amaravati during the regime of the TDP government. Some say that nearly Rs. 10,000 Crores have been spent on Amaravati, and some say that a lot more than that has been spent.

Some even argue that as much as Rs. 100 thousand Crores have been spent on Amaravati. Of course, this version includes the minting of money done by various people, which still leaves us with the question of how much was exactly spent for the development of Amaravati.

The YSRCP government could actually reveal the amount that the TDP government has spent for Amaravati, but the government is being very much tight-lipped about it, which is surprising, given that the Jagan government hates the Naidu government. But of course, there are several rumors that there was a 60-40 share between the TDP and the YSRCP back then, which is why everyone is being weary.

The Accountant General of the AP High Court had also given an ultimatum to the government, asking for the exact details of the expenditure for Amaravati, but the government officials said that they were not supposed to reveal such information. When the government is not ready to reveal such information to the High Court itself, the common man to know of such information is a far-fetched dream.

It is a fact that several buildings, including the Assembly, Secretariat and the High Court have been completed a long time ago in Amaravati, and that the relevant works are being carried on in these buildings. Some constructions have been completed up to 90%, while some have been completed up to 70%. Some constructions have stopped after laying foundations, and some didn’t get to lay a single foundation. All of these facts were acknowledged by Chief Minister Jagan himself, some time ago, in the Assembly.

When the government is so much aware of everything, why is it that they are not coming forward to reveal the details about the true expenditure of Amravati?
