Waiting for loans to clear govt salaries, AP govt towards unbelievable problems ??

Yet again, the AP government employees didn’t receive their monthly salaries on time. This is the second consecutive month to happen this way and generally, when there are two or three holidays in the salary days of a month, the employees will be credited the day before 1st or 2nd of a month. But, it seems like the AP employees may not receive their salaries until the 5th of this month.

The reason is simply nothing but the government has no amount in treasury and Jagan is looking for debts. At least Rs 6,000 crore is required to pay salaries of employees, pensions of retired employees. The state government can borrow Rs.2,000 crores every Tuesday in the form of bonds. Even if it is taken so, the government will face a huge deficit to pay the salaries.

In fact, during the first two months of this financial year, the AP government is Rs. 30,000 crore in debt. Many thought that the government would not bother to spend all those funds to pay salaries for the employees but it turned out that the government did not have any of those funds received from debts. They have borrowed huge amounts of money from RBI till now and off-market borrowing is expected to be higher.

In this plight, the government needs to pay Rs.18,000 for every SC, ST, BC woman who is eligible for a freebie, and their strength will be no less than 30 lakhs in the state. It will need another 6,000 – 7,000 crores of rupees and what is Jagan’s plan-B here? And many wonder if Jagan has any plan or planning at all.
