Legendary cricketer MS Dhoni, who had been the captain of Chennai Super Kings since the inception of the league in 2008, has shocked everyone by stepping down as the skipper of the team. He handed over the captaincy to his teammate, Ravindra Jadeja.
After MSD stepped down from the position, former India captain Virat Kohli reflected the thoughts of thousands of Dhoni fans, wishing the two-time world cup winning skipper.
Kohli took to social media to laud MSD for his highly successful tenure as the captain of CSK. “Legendary captaincy tenure in yellow skip. A chapter fans will never forget. Respect always,” Kohli said in a social media post.
Meanwhile, CSK said that Dhoni will continue to represent Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond. He won four titles (2011, 2012, 2018, 2021) by leading the CSK in 204 matches.
