Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Bigil, which is all set for the release on October 25, is now facing plagiarism issues. The film has landed in trouble after charges of copyright violation.
A Hyderabadi short-filmmaker named Nandi Chinni Kumar has filed a complaint in the Telangana Writers Association claiming that story of Bigil has been copied from his film Slum Soccer. After watching the trailer, he has filed the complaint stating there are huge similarities between Bigil and his film.
He also claimed that the lead role in his story would also be seen essaying a football coach hailing from slums. He told that Akhilesh Paul has played a football player in his film.
Nandi Chinni Kumar said that he is trying to make contact with the executive producer of Bigil, Venkat Manickam and seeking the movie unit’s explanation for regarding copyright violations.
