Vijayashanti asks; Where is KCR’s Federal Front?

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has come under bitter criticism from his opponents, especially the Congress, over his tall claims to form a Federal Front government at the Centre.

“What happened to his Federal Front?  Why he has not gone on to campaign for other regional parties?” asks the Congress party’s campaigning committee chairman Vijayashanti.

KCR claimed that he would work hard to install a non-Congress and non-BJP government at the Centre by cobbling a formidable regional satraps under the banner of Federal Front or by any other name.  He also claimed that neither of the two nationalist parties will get requisite numbers to stake claim.

Feelers were also sent soon after the LS polls through media that KCR set to go out a campaign for the various regional parties.  As nothing that sort has happened as his counterpart and bête noir Nara Chandrababu Naidu of Telugu Desam has already taken the lead and  ventured out to campaign for the Congress-JDS candidates in neighboring Karnataka and for Trinamul Congress in West Bengal.

KCR’s stoic silence over his tall claims were not being questioned by Vijayashanti, who said “he (KCR) seems to have realized that none of the Opposition wanted him or his help.”

“Why there is no invite to KCR from anyone so far?” she wondered.

In fact, KCR, who had taken the initiative to campaign form JDS in neighboring Karnataka during the assembly polls, later allegedly claimed that H D Kumaraswamy, who took over the reins after forming coalition with Congress as Chief Minister of Karnataka, had copied his (KCR) schemes.

“If that is so, why KCR had not gone to Karnataka to campaign in Lok Sabha polls?” she asked.

She recalled how KCR had travelled to several state capitals prior to the state assembly polls, in the garb of unifying regional parties, has now suddenly gone into silent mode. Why?

She alleged that Federal Front was only a ‘mukut’ of KCR as he has already entered into discreet understanding with the BJP.
