Actor turned politician and current Congress member, Vijayashanthi has today met with Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay, Vivek and Union Minister Kishan Reddy, at Reddy’s house, to meet BJP National President JP Nadda.
There have been rumors about Vijayashanthi wanting to join the BJP for a long time now, and she probably would have joined BJP way before the Dubbaka by-polls even, but the Congress managed to make her stay back until a little longer.
Now, with the utter failure of Congress in both Dubbaka by-elections and the recently concluded GHMC elections, Vijayashanthi might very soon make a formal announcement about her joining the BJP.
Incidentally, Vijayashanthi started her political career in the BJP, and quit the party right when everyone thought that she would be given a major post. After that, Vijayashanthi changed several parties, including the TRS, but hasn’t been able to find success in any one of them.
According to the latest reports, the news of Vijayashanthi joining BJP will be made official tomorrow. With Vijayashanthi now all set to re-join the BJP, all political circles are rife with speculation of what she would bring to the table for the BJP, and enhance its popularity and growth in the state.
