Vijay Sethupathi reveals why he opted out of ‘Pushpa’

Noted Tamil actor, Vijay Sethupathi was initially roped in to play a key role in Allu Arjun’s upcoming project ‘Pushpa’. But he opted out of the project a couple of months ago for undisclosed reasons.

When asked about the reason why he quit the project, Vijay cited clash of dates and tight schedule as the main factors behind his decision.

“Sorting out the dates for ‘Pushpa’ became a much tougher task than what we had planned initially. I have a handful of Tamil projects already and adjusting the dates did not seem like a viable option for me. I conveyed my decision to Sukumar in person before opting out of the project,” he said.

Vijay further added that he still has umpteen respect towards Sukumar and the unit of ‘Pushpa’.

Vijay Sethupathi is making his debut into Telugu film industry with Vaishnav Tej’s ‘Uppena’. The makers of ‘Pushpa’ are now in talks with multiple actors for the role which was supposed to be reprised by Vijay Sethupathi.
