VHR blames TPCC leadership for defections

In a scathing attack, the Congress veteran and AICC Secretary V Hanumantha Rao, who is known for not mincing words, has blamed the state party leadership for restraining defections from the party.

“Have anyone in the party leadership dare to discuss the issue why their MLA colleagues are leaving the party?  Does they ever tried to discourage them for taking such recourse?” a visibly upset Hanumanatha Rao asked.

He alleged that the party leadership’s negligence to keep the party loyalists and encouraging the new entries in the party has led to the present chaos.

VHR, as he is fondly known had given a clarion call to the party cadre across the state to revolt against their rebel Congressmen in their respective districts to teach them a lesson or two.  “How dare they switch sides, when they won on the party ticket?  Shouldn’t they resign first and later join, if they have guts?  Why KCR is encouraging such legislators from other parties”, he wondered.

He was also of the opinion that the party should shut doors once for all those who defected from the party once for all and should not be entertained to rejoin the party at later date.

VHR, who is known to his loyalty to the party as well Nehru-Gandhi family also accused the state party leadership for encouraging only rich and influential to fight the upcoming Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad polls.  He felt the party leadership should realize that they cannot afford to ignore those who had been loyal to the party and cannot afford to seek tickets due to their poor economic background.

He hoped that if the state party leadership takes corrective measures it is not too late for the party’s revival in the state.  He is confident that the party nominees in the ZPTC and MPTC polls will put up a brave fight against the TRS and come out victorious in a good number of seats.
