Telugu film industry has lost another talented director. Veteran filmmaker Sarath has passed away this morning at his residence in Hyderabad. He was 74.
As per reports, the ace director breathed his last on Friday after suffering from cancer for a long time. Family members said that his funeral will be held at Mahaprasthana tomorrow (Saturday). He was introduced to the industry with the film ‘Chadhastapu Mogudu’ based on the novel ‘Dear’ and has directed about 20 films in Telugu.
The bachelor filmmaker had assisted many aspirants to become directors. Working with star heroes like Superstar Krishna, Balakrishna, Suman, Jagapathi Babu and late Srihari, Sarath is quite popular for his movies such as Super Mogudu, Vamsoddharakudu, Peddannayya, Sulthan, Vamsanikokkadu, Bhale Bullodu, Bava-Bavamaridhi, Peddinti Alludu, Chinnalludu and Evadra Rowdy.
