Veteran director Mahendran passed away

Veteran director J Mahendran, who is also a writer and an actor passed away at his residence in Chennai. J Mahendran who did great contribution towards Tamil cinema was critically ill lately. He was undergoing treatment at Chennai Appollo Hospital.

After being discharged, J Mahendran passed away at his residence early in the morning today. The great artist was 79. J Mahendran’s son John Mahendran took his social media to share the news of his demise.

J Mahendran’s mortal remains will be brought to his residence soon. It is informed that his mortal remains will be kept for the public to pay their respects after which the funeral will be held at 5 pm.

J Mahendran last appeared in the movie titled Boomerang in which Atharva has played the lead. His appearance in Vijay starrer Theri earned him huge applause. May his soul rest in peace.
