Venky Atluri defying producer Naga Vamsi?

It is known that director Venky Atluri of ‘Tholi Prema’ fame is directing Kollywood star Dhanush for his next bilingual film, which has been titled ‘Vaathi’ in Tamil and ‘Sir’ in Telugu.

The film, which was launched in the first week of January, has suspended its shoot due to the spread of novel coronavirus. The latest update we hear is that the director is defying producer Naga Vamsi’s directions and is planning to continue the shooting schedule, despite the spread of the virus. However, the producer is said to be unhappy with the director’s tantrums.

The film is said to be an ambitious journey of a common man, which has Dhanush playing the role of a college lecturer. While GV Prakash has been roped in to compose music for the film, the technical team includes Dinesh Krishnan handling the cinematography and Navin Nooli in-charge of editing. Samyuktha Menon has been roped in to play the female lead in the movie.
