After Bollywood, the boycott trend is catching up now in Tollywood. It is known that Hindi movies Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan have fallen prey to the same recently.
Now, a similar negative campaign is being made on Vijay Deverakonda’s much-awaited pan-India film ‘Liger’. Haters of the Arjun Reddy actor took to social media and expressed that the Puri Jagannadh directorial should be banned, like other Bollywood movies.
However, in response to these boycott hashtags, multiple trends are supporting Liger on Twitter. The trends Unstoppable Liger and I Support Liger are trending big time in Bollywood.
People are questioning if these negative trends are against Karan Johar being associated with the project or if is it sheer envy that a self-risen star like Vijay is making a lot of noise on the national circuit. Needless to say, spreading negativity about a movie isn’t a healthy act as thousands of families are dependent on it. It appears like a section of people cannot bear the mass reception that Liger is getting all across India and hence the negative trend.
