Ram Pothineni scored a much-needed blockbuster with Ismart Shankar which turned out to be the biggest box office hit in his career. This success came when Ram needed it the most and he is wishing to keep the success streak going with his next film, ‘Red’ which happens to be the remake of Tamil film Thadam.
Going into story, Ram is reportedly unhappy with the final cut of Red and has called for a lot of corrections.
Ram was taken aback while watching the film as he felt there are too many continuity flaws. He asked the director Kishore Tirumala and the editor to tweak the final cut. He will be watching the film again once the corrections are made and only then will it go for a theatrical release.
Also, Ram hoped the special item song ‘Dinchak’ featuring Hebah Patel would be a massive hit, but that wasn’t to be. He is not satisfied with the response the song had garnered.
As of now, Ram is said to be dissatisfied with Red output. It would be interesting to see if he will change his mind once the film undergoes subtle changes in the editing room. If normalcy is restored soon, Red will release by the end of this year.
