Ultimatum given to Jagan

The Andhra Pradesh government employee unions have given an ultimatum to Chief Minister YS Jagan, saying that they would have to protest and that they would go on an indefinite strike, if the AP government fails to pay them their salaries and pensions on time, and to implement the new PRC scales.

The employee unions have been patient for over two years now, after Jagan became the CM in 2019, and have now chosen to respond to the government not paying their salaries and pensions on time. The employee unions demanded that the AP government should pay them their salaries and pensions by the first of every month, like before, as they are not receiving their dues even after the 10th of every month now.

On the other hand, the Telangana state government extended the new PRC scales with a higher 30 per cent fitment hike on basic pay from April this year itself while there is no talk of the new PRC in AP even in October. AP government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that he would take to the notice of CM Jagan, all of their issues, and sort them out as soon as possible.
