Few hackers attacked Twitter in an interesting way. The accounts of several big shot celebrities like Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, US’ ex-president Barack Obama, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, investor Warren Buffet, US presidential elections candidate Joe Biden etc were hacked at the same time and all these accounts posted a message related to a Bitcoin scam.
Twitter further locked all the accounts that are compromised and issued a notice to the public that the accounts will be open again after investigating the fix. Twitter stated that the tools used by few internal Twitter employees went into the hands of the hackers which helped them in crossing the two factor authentication system.
Apart from the prominent celebrities, official accounts of companies like Apple, Uber too were hacked. This can be considered to be one of the biggest high rated cyber hacking of all times. Investigation is on progress and the culprits might be found soon.
