The central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party has tried its level best to get all the support it can, in light of the Presidential elections, the voting for which took place today. The BJP named Draupadi Murmu from West Bengal as its Presidential candidate and has gotten the support of all major parties in AP. However, only the Telangana BJP supports Murmu from the state, while TRS and Congress have declared their support for the opposition candidate.
Now, Telangana BJP members have come forward to say that they have requested a few members from the TRS and the Congress party to vote for the NDA’s candidate. They said that they tried to persuade everyone they could get in touch with for cross-voting. They said that they are hoping for at least ten cross votes.
While there have been no reports of any cross-voting so far, everyone is wondering why the TS BJP members have made such claims. In the meantime, the only news of cross-voting has been that of Sitakka, who, by mistake, voted for Murmu and later tried to change her vote by requesting another ballot paper, but that didn’t happen. Whether her vote would be considered or not is something that needs to be seen on the day of counting. The counting of the votes would take place on the 21st of this month.
