The political scenario in Andhra Pradesh has always been an interesting one, especially after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister in 2019. He has been deliberately undoing everything that the TDP government has done, and moreover, all the decisions that the YSRCP government has taken have been received very poorly by the people of the state for their blasphemous nature.
There hasn’t been one time when the parties of the state saw eye to eye on things. Be it YSRCP or TDP or Jana Sena, the three parties have been running on their own agendas, and despite Pawan Kalyan trying to get every opposition party in the state to come together, to unite and overthrow the YSRCP from power, that hasn’t been happening. However, it now looks like there’s still hope left for that.
For the first time ever, these three parties took a unanimous stand. The three parties supported the BJP’s candidate for the Presidential elections and voted on it today. With AP being the only state with a unanimous vote, it is being expected that the TDP and Jana Sena might unite on some level, even if not in a full-fledged manner, and try to make sure that the YSRCP doesn’t return to power in 2024.
