In Andhra Pradesh, we have witnessed the double standards of the media channels and newspapers a number of times. There are evidences where media like Sakshi, Andhra Jyothi, Eenadu e.t.c acting at their convenience and manipulating the same news by publishing them in two different ways in Andhra and Telangana.
Yesterday, KCR also mentioned an article from popular Telugu daily Andhra Pradesh and gave them a severe warning about their manipulated news. He also fired on many newspapers and other media of the country and advised the people not to believe this false news.
You people need not disappoint on the fate of our Telugu media as the same is happening all over the world. Many of you are aware of the prestigious media house, ‘The Guardian’. This ‘Guardian’ has written news taking “COVID-19 threat- LOCKDOWN” as the title and covered the same news in different ways in Australia, India, and America.
This is what they mentioned about India – “I just want to go home” – the desperate millions hit by Modi’s brutal Lockdown.” They alleged Modi that his way of handling the pandemic has heaped misery of India’s poor citizens.
Coming to Australia and U.S.A, they mentioned that these countries need lockdown amid the COVID-19 crisis as there is a lot of fear in its citizens. They even appealed to the American President to shut down everything in the country and even advised that a three-week lockdown could give them hope and could fight the virus.
But in India, the people are being tortured due to the lockdown, according to them. So, you should understand that the principles and ethics of media have degraded completely be it Andhra Pradesh, India, America or in any part of the world.
