There is no denying that the Andhra Pradesh government, headed by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has laid special interest in cinema theatres to create obstacles for Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak. Ahead of the release, the officials issued warnings to theatre owners to abide by the regulations on ticket prices.
In a surprising move, the VROs and MROs in different parts of the state are currently performing duties at theatres today and making sure the big screens are functioning according to the government’s regulations. Sadly, the officials are even outnumbering theatre staff at cinema hall premises.
With the government raiding the theatres’ management by sending officials directly to cinema halls, it is heard around 50-60 theatres in Andhra Pradesh are closed. Due to the unreasonable Rs 10, 15, 20 ticket prices right on the day of Bheemla Nayak’s release, it made it impossible for theatre owners and distributors to recoup their investment in the film.
Needless to say, the present prices set by the government resulted in a significant loss for theatre owners, buyers, and traders involved in the industry.
