Amid the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that he could launch nuclear weapons against any nation that interrupts his military campaign in Ukraine.
Putin, the President of one of the most powerful nuclear states, seems to be determined to invade Ukraine and there is no going back from his decision.
However, the NATO allies, including the U.S., have confirmed they will not engage militarily in Ukraine and some experts suggest Putin’s comments should not be taken as empty threats.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian government passed a decree that males aged 18-60 are not allowed to leave the country. The border guard has said that the restriction on men will last as long as martial law is in place in the country.
On the other side, civilians sought safety in bomb shelters and metro stations amid rising reports of Russian tanks moving closer from all sides.
