It is known that the ED (Enforcement Directorate) re-opened the Tollywood drug case in September 2021, which first came to light in 2017.
Now, in a big relief to the celebrities, the ED is reportedly planning to close the sensational drug scandal case.
After the Telangana excise department has arrested the main accused drug peddler Calvin, the officials found several celebs names in his mobile contact list and a few chats with them on WhatsApp.
After which, the ED officials summoned several Tollywood celebs such as Puri Jagannadh, Ravi Teja, Tarun, Charmme Kaur, Tanish and a few others and investigated them and looked at the history of their communications with Calvin.
The investigation agency also investigated the bank accounts of Telugu actors thoroughly for the unusual money transfers to have taken place from their accounts. However, the officials did not find any evidence against the celebs indulging in money laundering in the drugs case.
Given these reasons, the ED is said to be closing this case, which is surely a huge relief to all the above-accused Tollywood actors.
