Tiger Nageswara Rao’s Run-Time Rollercoaster: A 25-Minute Trim

Ravi Teja’s latest film, “Tiger Nageswara Rao,” received mixed reviews upon its release on October 20. A significant point of contention has been its lengthy runtime, which originally stood at 3 hours and 2 minutes.

Despite its emotional depth and grand scale, the extended duration posed a challenge for viewers.

To address this concern, the film’s creators opted to cut 25 minutes from the final version, bringing it down to a more manageable 2 hours and 37 minutes.

Interestingly, the runtime was the same in the copy shown to the censor board and the final theatrical release. However, advice from industry insiders who previewed the film led to the decision to trim it.

While this reduction has its own set of challenges, such as the financial and creative investment in the excised content, it also raises concerns about the perception of the initial editing quality.

As “Tiger Nageswara Rao” embarks on its new, shorter journey, its reception and overall success remain a subject of interest and anticipation in the industry.
